Maintenance System to Achieve OEE Above 85%
The concept of improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness
(OEE) can be driven through two main activities: maintenance
activities and improvement activities, as illustrated in
Figure 2. This framework can be used to evaluate whether
current organizational practices are sufficiently effective. If gaps
are identified, organizations should assess which activities are
necessary and aligned with their operational context, and then
develop systematic action plans to continuously and sustainably
improve machine OEE.
5 Strategic Machine Maintenance Practices for
High-Performing Production & Maintenance Teams
Based on the above concept, five key practices can be identified.
These must be properly implemented and involve both production
and maintenance functions:

approach will support machines in achieving the targeted
level of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and enhance
overall operational performance.
