The FDA has issued MOPH Notification (No. 445) B.E. 2566
(2023) on Nutrition Labelling. This notification revises and
clarifies the information and conditions compared with the
previous regulation while repealing the earlier nutrition labelling
notification. It has been in effect since July 2, 2024. For meat
products that have been reformulated to improve nutritional
content and that intend to display nutrition claims on label
such as ‘high protein’, ‘high calcium’ or ‘low fat’. Consequently,
operators must prepare to ensure that labels fully comply
with legal requirements and in accordance with the
notification.
