ผูผลิตทองแดงรายใหญที่สุดในอาเซียน และเปน 1 ใน 10 ผูผลิตทองคำรายใหญ

The Philippines has GDP scale approximately close to Singapore,
Malaysia and Thailand. The Philippines also has skilled labor
market but the wage is below Thailand’s while the population size
is second only to Indonesia in the ASEAN. The Philippines is in the so-
called “Ring of Fire” because she has many volcanoes that are rich in
copper, gold, silver, copper, chromium and nickel. She has the largest
copper production in Asia and is one of the 10 largest gold producers in
the world. The core economy of the Philippines is driven by the service
sector more than half of the country, including retail, business process
outsourcing, finance and real estate. Movement on liberalization of the
services sector in ASEAN could help boost the overall economy. In the
area of foreign investment, Japan is a major investor, covering one-third of
the proportion of total foreign investments while China still has a relatively
low proportion of investment.
Economic Situation
In recent years, the Philippines was able to cope with the problems of the
global economic downturn relatively well when compared to its neighbors.
The reasons are the high rate of domestic consumption, less reliance
on exports at around 30 percent of GDP and homeward remittance of
income of the Filipino workers abroad. The latter income is a factor that
