แยกเป็น 4 กลุ่ ม คือ การบริ หารจัดการห่วงโซ่อุปทาน (Supply
Chain Management) เช่น FedEx การปฏิ บัติ การ
(Operations) การบริหารงานสนั บสนุนภายในองค์กร
(Business Administration) เช่น การบริหาร
ข้อมูลในธุรกิ จการแพทย์ (Medical Care) และ
Wellness การบริการลูกค้ า (Sales, Marketing
and Customer Care) เช่น การบริหารข้อมูล
บัตรเครดิต และระบบยืนยั นสิทธิ รับตรง หรื อ
Clearing house สำหรับสมาร์ทโฟนและแท็บเล็ต
ซึ่งตลาดอาเซี ยนได้ กลายเป็ นตลาดอันดั บต้ นๆ
ของโลกไปแล้ว
แต่ทั้ งสมาร์ทโฟนและแท็บเล็ตก็มีข้อจำกั ดด้านพื้นที่
จัดเก็บข้อมูลภายในตั วเครื่อง จึ งต้องหันไปใช้ บริการจากผู้ให้
บริการระบบแหล่ งเก็บข้ อมู ลในอินเทอร์ เน็ต หรือ Cloud storage
แทน ซึ่งระบบนี้จัดเป็น BPO ประเภทหนึ่ง ระบบ Cloud storage
คือ ที่เก็บข้ อมูลไว้บนอินเทอร์เน็ตสามารถฝากไฟล์และดึงไฟล์ ออก
ได้อย่างสะดวกโดยต้ องใช้อินเทอร์เน็ตเป็นสื่อกลาง ทำให้บริการ
ของ Cloud storage ได้รับความนิยมเป็นอย่างมาก อี กทั้งยังมี
ปัจจัยที่ สนับสนุ นอย่างการเติบโตของอุปกรณ์ต่างๆ ทั้งสมาร์ทโฟน
และแท็บเล็ต ทำให้สามารถเข้ าถึงได้ง่าย สามารถรับส่งข้อมูลได้
สะดวกสบายมากขึ้นในทุกที่ ทุกเวลา
การส่งเสริ มให้เกิดการลงทุ นในธุรกิ จ BPO ในไทยให้เติบโต
มากยิ่งขึ้นเป็นสิ่งจำเป็น ซึ่งนอกจากจะเป็นการสร้างงานและสร้าง
โอกาสทางการค้าแล้ ว ยังเป็นการสร้ างเครือข่ายทางธุ รกิจให้ ไทย
ในหลายๆ ด้าน และช่วยต่อยอดธุรกิจไทยให้เข้มแข็งขึ้ นในตลาดโลก
นอกจากนั้นยังส่งผลดีต่ออุตสาหกรรมอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ไทยที่มีตลาด
รองรับเชิงสถาบันที่ มีขนาดใหญ่ในอาเซียน อันได้ แก่ ผู้ ให้บริการ
BPO และ Cloud computing เป็นต้น อย่างไรก็ตาม อุตสาหกรรม-
อิเล็ กทรอนิกส์ของไทยก็ ต้องปรับตั วสู่ความต้ องการใหม่ ๆ เช่น
ระบบความจำแบบ SSD สำหรับคอมพิวเตอร์ส่วนบุคคล (PC) ที่
กำลังเข้ ามาแทนที่เทคโนโลยีฮาร์ดไดรฟ์ (HDD) ที่ล้าสมัย
สิ่งที่ เป็นปรากฏการณ์สำคัญที่ไม่ ควรมองข้าม คือ การบริ โภค
ของคนชั้นกลางที่ ขยายตัวอย่างรวดเร็ ว เป็นที่น่ าสังเกตว่ามีการ-
เติ บโตของห้างสรรพสินค้ าขนาดยักษ์เกิ ดขึ้ นอย่ างมากมายใน
ย่านอาเซียน ดังนั้น ผู้ ส่งออกอาหารไม่ควรมองข้ ามโอกาสการ-
ส่งออกไปยั งตลาดเมื อง BPO ที่สำคัญในเอเชีย โดยเฉพาะใน
อาเซียน…โอกาส BPO มาอยู่ในมือของอาเซียนแล้ว ขึ้นอยู่กับว่ า
ประเทศไทยจะฉวยโอกาสนั้นได้ ดีเพียงใด…

countries, and creates economic spill-over
to other sectors, including tourism, retail and
wholesale, shopping malls, hotel, property,
refrigerator manufacturing, air-conditioner
manufacturing, electronics, auto-mobile, garment
and food to name a few.
World renown BPO centers can also be found in other countries such
as China - Shanghai (11th place in global list), Beijing (12th), Dalian (14 th),
Shenzhen (15th), Vietnam (Hanoi, 17 th, and Ho Chi Min City, 22nd), Malaysia
(Kuala Lumpur, 12th). For Thailand, Bangkok ranks number 85 th in global BPO
list, despite the support from the government Software Park, as most BPO
businesses remain focus on software development and digital content.
Range of BPO services can be divided into 4 categories; (1) Supply Chain
Management - namely FedEx, (2) Operations, (3) Business Administration
- such as medical care and wellness information administration, and (4)
Customer Service - which covers area of sales, marketing, credit card
information service, and clearing house for the growing popular in ASEAN
smartphone and tablets.
However, it is noted that smartphone and tablets have limited internal
storage, which means users must rely on another BPO service like cloud
storage. Cloud storage is where users store and access their information
using the internet. The easiness of being able to access the data at anytime
and from anywhere, as well as the improvement of smartphones and tablets
to support cloud system, makes cloud storage very popular.
To promote future investment in BPO sector in Thailand is crucial, as it
will not only create more jobs and more trade opportunities, but also create
networks for Thai business in many ways, and help strengthen Thai business
in global market. Moreover, it should be an advantage to electronics sector in
Thailand, which already has demands from large institutions in ASEAN like
BPO providers and cloud computing system providers. However, Thailand’s
electronic sector must adjust to new demand, such as SSD memory card
for PC, which is replacing the old-fashioned HDD.
One phenomenon that should not be overlooked is the middle class
population, which has increased enormously and recently hasmore demands.
Spectacularly, many mega malls are growing in many ASEAN cities. Thus,
food exporters should not disregard opportunities to export to BPO cities in
Asia, again, particularly ASEAN. … BPO opportunity is already in ASEAN’s
hand, but it is depending on Thailand how to seize the opportunity…
