ไมแสวงหาผลกำไร จัดตั้งขึ้นโดยมีวัตถุประสงคเพื่อแกไขป ญหา
ดานอาหาร สิ่งแวดลอม พลังงาน และทรัพยากรในศตวรรษที่ 21
โดยมุงเนนการพั ฒนา การสาธิต และการขยายระบบการปลูกพืช
โดยใชแสงเที ยม (Plant factory with artificial light; PF) ระบบ
ดังกลาวสามารถผลิ ตพื ชอาหารไดอยางมี ประสิทธิภาพในแง
ของการประหยัดทรัพยากร เป นมิตรตอสิ่งแวดลอม ไดผลิ ตผลที่มี
คุณภาพ และไดผลผลิ ตสูง ระบบการปลูกพืชโดยใช แสงเทียมนี้
เหมาะสำหรั บการปลูกผักใบและพืชใบที่ มีความสูงไม มากนัก
นับเปนการสงเสริ มการเพาะปลูกสินคาเกษตรในเขตเมืองได เปน
อยางดี
Professor Emeritus Dr. Toyoki Kozai นายกสมาคมฯ และ
ศาสตราจารย เกียรติ คุณ มหาวิทยาลัยชิบะ กล าวว า ขอมูล ณ
เดือนมีนาคม 2556 มี PF อยู 130 แหง และมีอั ตราการเติ บโต
ร อยละ 20 ตอป PF ที่ ใหญที่สุดสามารถผลิตผักกาดหอมไดถึง
20,000 หัวตอวัน มี กำลังการผลิ ตเฉลี่ย 2,000 ตนตอวัน ตนทุน
ของ PF ประกอบดวย คาเสื่อม ร อยละ 30-35 แรงงาน รอยละ
20-25 คาไฟ รอยละ 20-25 และที่ เหลือเป นคาใชจายเบ็ ดเตล็ด
ไดแก เมล็ดพันธุ สารอาหาร เปนตน
The Japan Plant Factory Association (JPFA) is non-profit organization aims at solving
simultaneously problems of food, environment, energy and resources in the 21st century by
developing, demonstrating, and expanding a sustainable plant factory with artificial light (PF)
system. The PF system enables food production that is resource saving, environmentally
friendly, high quality and high yielding. The PF are becoming increasingly important in Japan
for commercial production of leaf vegetables and other short-height leaf plants to enhance
local production in urban areas.
Professor Emeritus Dr. Toyoki Kozai, President of Japan Plant Factory Association, Chiba
University said that there are 130 PFs as of March, 2013 with an annual increase rate of 20
percent. The largest PF produces 20,000 lettuce heads per day. The average daily production
capacity is about 2,000 plants. The production costs of PF is 30-35 percent for depreciation,
20-25 percent for labor, 20-25 percent for electricity and the rest for miscellaneous goods
such as seed, nutrient, etc.
