The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, as the agency
responsible for food safety throughout the food chain from the
field to table, recognizes the importance of accelerating the
development of Thai food production capabilities to meet international
standards because today Thailand is one of the major food producing
and exporting countries of the world. The Ministry of Agriculture
and Cooperatives has delegated the policy of standards and safety
for all to the National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food
Standards, or ACFS, which is the central department-level agency
under the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives which establishes
safety standards for agriculture and food products for both the Thai
people and the global market. TheACFS plays an important role in the
implementation of standards for inspections, certifications, and quality
control, as well as promoting their use consistent with international
standards. All of these are to enhance competitiveness by using
quality standards that will benefit producers and consumers whether

ผู้บริโภคเท่านั้น ในด้านเศรษฐกิจมาตรฐานเหล่านี้ ยังสามารถที่จะช่วยลดปัญหาการกีดกันทางการค้ากับนานาประเทศได้ อีกด้วย
At present, there is a focus worldwide on the quality of life, particularly with regard to issues that impact the quality and
safety of food. Consequently, safety standards for agricultural and food products have been established in many
countries to be used as production standards which are accepted worldwide. Standardization of agricultural and food
products, and attempts to implement standards in each country are not only for the consumers’ quality of life, but in
economic terms, these standards will also help reduce trade barriers with other countries.
ประเทศไทยเป็นประเทศที่ มีการผลิ ตและการส่ งออกอาหาร
ที่สำคัญประเทศหนึ่งของโลก กระทรวงเกษตรและสหกรณ์
ในฐานะผู้ รับผิดชอบดู แลความปลอดภัยอาหารตลอดห่ วงโซ่
อาหารตั้งแต่ระดับไร่นาจนถึงโต๊ะอาหารได้ ตระหนักถึงความสำคัญในการ

อย่างสอดคล้ องตามหลักสากล เพื่อยกระดับและเพิ่ มประสิทธิ ภาพในการ
แข่งขันโดยการใช้ มาตรฐานอย่างมี คุณภาพอั นจะเป็นประโยชน์ต่ อผู้ผลิ ต
การเชื่อมโยงข้อมูลตามสอบสินค้าเกษตรตลอดห่วงโซ่
