ความสามารถในการปฏิรูปเศรษฐกิ จอันดั บ 1 ของโลก
world’s top economic reforms. Georgia is highly successful at investment in the field of infrastructure
and services. The United States has provided assistance to Georgia in various academic,
humanitarian and construction projects. The U.S. also dispatched legal counsels and a practical
trainers for congressional staffs, policemen and economic planners. The EU has agreements on
GSP and FTA with Georgia to pave the way to the EU membership in the future.
Georgia Economy
The government is committed to economic reforms in accordance with the policies of the
International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank, and gives priority to the restoration of the
Silk Road as a “Eurasian corridor.” The government uses the geographical location of Georgia as
a trade bridge among Europe, CIS and Asia.
The economic structure comprises agricultural GDP at 7.8%. The major crops cultivated are
grape, orange, tea and hazelnut. Industry comprises 23% of GDP. The major industries include
chemicals, textiles, wine, metals, machinery, mining for copper, manganese and gold. The
services sector comprises 69.2% of GDP. The tourism and transportation sector is an important
business activity.
The important economic policy now is to develop the oil pipeline routes between cities of
Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) and oil pipeline of Baku-Tbilisi-Erzerum including the development
of the railroad of Kars-Akhalkalaki which will enhance the country’s status as a strategic link to
