Cake is a sweet baked dessert. It contains a combination of flour and sugar. The word “Cake” is of Viking origin, from
the Old Norse word “Kaka”. It is believed that the very advanced way of baking cakes was passed down from the
Egyptian. Fruit cake was then the first choice of Egyptian people. Later, around the 17th century, the first oven was
invented and developed then, round cake pans were made and became popular. Yet, fruit cake has still been the
favorite of all people.

ที่รูจักและแพร หลายมากขึ้น
Bake products such as cookies, breads, and cakes were not
quite popular in Thailand until the end of the World War II.
Thailand then started business with several countries and the
result was that foreigners were flowing in to Thailand. Hotel tourism
has expanded and supported food demands of those who are not
familiar with Thai foods. Also, catering business that serves baked
products became very successful among government and private
sections. Since then, bake products have been widely well-known
throughout Thailand.
