เครื่องเดียวและต้องสามารถเปลี่ยนแปลงการตั้งค่าพารามิเตอร์ต่างๆได้ง่ายและที่ส�ำคัญ
ที่สุดคือความคุ้มค่ าในการลงทุน เนื่องจากบริษัทฯมีไลน์การบรรจุหลายไลน์ การลงทุน
ซื้อเครื่องเอ็กซเรย์หนึ่ งเครื่องต่อหนึ่งไลน์บรรจุ จึงเป็นการลงทุนที่ มีมูลค่าสูงมาก
การตรวจสอบแบบมัลติ เลน1 โดยใช้เครื่องเอ็ กซเรย์เพียงเครื ่องเดี ยว (Multi-lane
inspection) จึงเป็นโซลูชันที่ น่าจะตอบโจทย์นี้ได้ดี กล่าวคือสินค้าที่ออกจากไลน์ บรรจุ 2

In order to prevent any harm to consumers as well as to protect the
company’sbrand,TongGardenhasseriously focusedonquality in the
manufacturing process through CCPs analysis and prevention
measurements.Toensure that thehighestqualityproductswillbedelivered
toconsumers, thecompanyhasalso focusedoncontaminants inspection.
Thismust beapparent to theconsumers thatTongGardenproductshave
thehighest qualityandflavor, and theyarenever thesourceof consumer
complaints regardingharmful contaminants.
Because of the packaging and the variety of products, designing a
system for detecting contaminants in Tong Garden products is very
challenging.Aluminum foilpackagehascauseddetectionbymetaldetector
inefficient. Consequently, Tong Garden has decided to invest in X-ray
machineas it candetect contaminants inproductspackaged inaluminum
foil.This isaveryhuge investment compared to thevalueof theproducts
which is low margin. The X-ray machines can also detect other
contaminantsapart fromscrapsofmetal suchasglass fragments,stones,
and some forms of plastic.
TongGardenhasavarietyofproductssuchaspeanuts,broadbeans,
andcashewaswell asdifferent packagingsizessuchas20, 40, 200, and
500grams. Consequently, the companyalsoneededa solution to speed
up theproductionprocess and toprovideeaseand flexibility in changing
product types.TheX-raymachine, therefore,must beable toaccomplish
these challenges. It must allow changing the various parameters easily,
andmost importantly itmust beworth the investment.Since thecompany
hasmany packaging lines, the acquisition of a single X-raymachine for
eachpackaging linewould requirea very huge investment.
From the above mentioned, a single X-ray machine for multi-lane
inspection1 isan ideal solution.Products from twopackaging linescanbe
conveyed through the single X-ray machine simultaneously by being
separated into two inspections lanes. Themachine can also inspect and
separateout contaminatedproducts from theproduction linewithaseries
of dropdownconveyorbelts.Thecontaminatedproducts then fall into the
reject bin below. This process has been designed with safety systems
allowing only authorized person such as quality assurance to be able to
handle rejected products for further detailed examination.
