สำนักงานพัฒนาวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีแห่งชาติ เปิดเผยถึงแนวโน้มอุตสาหกรรมเครื่องมือแพทย์ของประเทศไทยว่า อุตสาหกรรมที่เกี่ยวเนื่องกับสุขภาพและการแพทย์มีแนวโน้มการเติบโตอย่างต่อเนื่อง ดังจะเห็นได้จากตลาดเครื่องมือแพทย์จากทั่วโลกที่มีอัตราการเติบโตอย่างรวดเร็วกว่าร้อยละ 6.4 ต่อปี จึงทำให้อุตสาหกรรมการผลิตเครื่องมือแพทย์เป็นอุตสาหกรรมที่มีศักยภาพต่อเศรษฐกิจ ไทยจึงได้กำหนดเรื่องการแพทย์และสาธารณสุขไว้ในยุทธศาสตร์ชาติ 20 ปี โดยให้เป็นหนึ่งในเป้าหมายอนาคตของไทย ในปี 2579 เพื่อส่งเสริมให้คนไทยมีร่างกายที่แข็งแรงสมบูรณ์ และส่งเสริมให้ไทยเป็นศูนย์กลางสุขภาพนานาชาติ หรือที่รู้จักกันในนาม Medical Hub โดยส่งเสริมให้ไทยเป็นศูนย์กลางสุขภาพนานาชาติ นอกจากนี้ยังได้จัดทำ Roadmap ในการขับเคลื่อนไทยแลนด์ 4.0 กลุ่มสาธารณสุข สุขภาพ และเทคโนโลยีทางการแพทย์ (Health, Wellness and Bio-Med) ตลอดจนพัฒนาโครงสร้างพื้นฐานทางการแพทย์เพื่อผลักดันให้ไทยเป็น Medical Hub ของอาเซียนภายในปี 2568

 

The National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) revealed about the trend of medical equipment in Thailand that health-related industry and medical industry has grown continuously every year as seen from the medical equipment trading market in global, which grows by an average of 6.4 percent each year. Consequence, the medical equipment industry is a potential industry, which could benefit the economy. Thailand, thus, has drawn on the medical and public health plan in the 20 years national strategy, which set the industry as one of the targeted industries in the future. In 2036, it is targeted to promote Thai people to be healthy, and make Thailand as the center of international healthcare service or known as “Medical Hub”. Moreover, the country has drawn a roadmap to drive Thailand 4.0 in Health, Wellness, and Bio-med, while also develop infrastructure on medical to push Thailand forward to become the Medical hub of ASEAN within the year 2025.

“BLi (Thailand)”, one of the country’s leading international trade exhibitors, led by Kanokwan Sukchaisri, Managing Director of BLi (Thailand) Co., Ltd, escorted 18 Thai entrepreneurs to participate Finefood Shanghai 2018 for the third time under the concept “Product of Thailand”, which received a good response and confidence from Chinese consumers in term of taste and production standard. Thai products that had been exhibited at this event were included processed vegetables and fruits, beverages, seasoning, various ready-to-eat meals with diverse packaging that can respond to various lifestyles of Chinese consumers in current.

ในบางครั้ง อาหารที่ผ่านการแปรรูปนั้นอาจมีความต้องการการป้องกันการสูญเสียความชื้น เนื้อสัมผัส และ ลักษณะปรากฏ ซึ่งกระบวนการเคลือบในอุตสาหกรรมอาหารที่นิยมใช้สตาร์ชเป็นส่วนผสมหลักนั้นสามารถช่วยคงรูปร่างให้กับผลิตภัณฑ์ได้ อีกทั้งยังให้ลักษณะฟิล์มเคลือบที่ใส จึงไม่มีผลต่อผลิตภัณฑ์  ซึ่งอุตสาหกรรมที่นิยมใช้กระบวนการเคลือบร่วมในการแปรรูปนั้นมีมากมาย อย่างเช่น ผลิตภัณฑ์ขนมขบเคี้ยว เบเกอรี ลูกกวาด ผัก เนื้อ และปลา

 

ทั้งนี้ สตาร์ชถูกนำมาใช้อย่างแพร่หลายในกลุ่มแบตเตอร์และการเคลือบ เนื่องจากสามารถช่วยในด้านการยึดเกาะที่ดี ช่วยในการเกิดฟิล์มเคลือบ ช่วยในการเพิ่มน้ำหนัก และช่วยในการควบคุมด้านเนื้อสัมผัส นอกจากนี้การใช้แป้งที่ถูกผสมเสร็จมาแล้วในอัตราส่วนและส่วนผสมที่เหมาะสมยังสามารถใช้ในการเคลือบผลิตภัณฑ์เฟรนช์ฟรายด์เพื่อช่วยในการเพิ่มความกรอบ ช่วยคงความร้อนหลังทอดไว้ได้นานขึ้น ช่วยในการคงรูปร่าง และช่วยลดการดูดซับน้ำมันหลังจากการทอดได้ด้วย

 

จากกระแสที่ตลาดปัจจุบันที่ผู้บริโภคมีความต้องการที่หลากหลายและคาดหวังความเป็นประโยชน์ต่อสุขภาพอย่างมากนั้น ทำให้ตลาดของการพัฒนาผลิตภัณฑ์มีความต้องการผลิตภัณฑ์ที่ใช้ในการเคลือบที่หลากหลายมากขึ้น จึงทำให้เกิดการพัฒนาผลิตภัณฑ์เคลือบที่มีการผสมเครื่องเทศและกลิ่นรสต่างๆ เพื่อเป็นแนวทางในการใช้งานใที่มีความต้องการความแตกต่างอย่างต่อเนื่อง

 

Processed foods sometimes need help to protect moisture, texture and appearance. Coatings enable food manufacturers to present their products in the intended form. They contain starches to help form flexible and clear protective layers for snacks, bakery, confectionery, vegetables, meat and fish applications.

 

Starches are used in a variety of batters and coatings. They help with adhesion, film forming, regulate pickup and manipulate texture. Nowaday a wide range of special starch blends for use in clear coatings of French fries and other products to enhance crispness, heat holding stability, form stability and reduce fat absorption are made available.

 

Following the trend of consumers expecting multiple choice options we have developed several seasoning coatings. This batter range contains spices and flavours resulting in more visible coating layers. Depending on regional preferences we are able to offer customer specific blends.

งาน Food Focus Thailand Roadshow # 2 ต้อนรับผู้ประกอบการในอุตสาหกรรมอาหารและเครื่องดื่มในภาคใต้ ซึ่งได้รับฟังการบรรยายเรื่อง “เทรนด์ล่ามาแรงของอุตสาหกรรมอาหารและเครื่องดื่ม: มุมมองจากทั่วโลก อาเซียน และไทย” โดยได้รับเกียรติจากผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.สันทัด วิเชียรโชติ ผู้อำนวยการบัณฑิตวิทยาลัยสหวิทยาการผลิตภัณฑ์เสริมอาหารและอาหารสุขภาพ มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตหาดใหญ่ และหัวข้อ “อัพเดทมาตรฐานที่จำเป็นล่าสุดในอุตสาหกรรมอาหารและเครื่องดื่ม” โดยคุณศรีประไพ ปาจรียานนท์ จาก British Standards Institution นอกจากนี้ยังได้พบกับความหลากหลายของสินค้าที่นำมาจัดแสดงและร่วมสนุกกับกิจกรรมและของรางวัลต่างๆ ภายในงาน

งาน FHA2018 ในโอกาสครบรอบปีที่ 40 ประสบความสำเร็จกับผู้เข้าชมงานถึง 81,896 ราย จากกว่า 105 ประเทศและภูมิภาค ซึ่งมีจำนวนเพิ่มขึ้นกว่างานในครั้งก่อนถึงร้อยละ 14 ในปีนี้มีผู้แสดงสินค้าถึง 3,500 ราย จาก 76 ประเทศและภูมิภาค ทั้งยังต้อนรับ 71 พาวิเลียนจากต่างประเทศ โดยมีประเทศน้องใหม่ คือ ลัตเวีย ตูนิเซีย และกาตาร์

งาน FHA จะกลับมาอีกครั้งกับ 2 งานแสดงสินค้า คือ “FHA-HoReCa” ในวันที่ 3-6 มีนาคม 2563 และ “FHA-Food & Beverage” ในวันที่ 31 มีนาคม-3 เมษายน 2563 ซึ่งจะจัดควบคู่กับงาน ProWine Asia (Singapore) 2020

 

FHA2018 drew 81,896 attendees from more than 105 countries/regions, an increase of 14% from 2016. From first time exhibitors to decades-long partnerships, FHA played host to 3,500 exhibitors from 76 countries/regions and 71 international group pavilions, including new entrants Latvia, Tunisia and Qatar.

 

Platform for New Innovations

RESTAURANT 3.0 at Suntec was a major highlight at FHA2018, where new concepts for enhancing consumers’ dining experiences and improving back-of-house processes through technology were showcased. The exhibit included digital, robotics and technology-enabled modular systems that can improve the overall supply chain – from farm to processing and production, to service at the table. It showcased technological innovations as companies look into digital initiatives to transform consumers’ dining experiences and revolutionise businesses.

 

Looking Ahead 2020

The success of FHA2018 underscores the event’s ability to understand and discover trends, evolving to meet industry shifts and ensure that businesses are well-positioned for growth in the industry.

 

The next edition of FHA will return in 2020 as two dedicated shows – FHA-HoReCa from 3 to 6 March 2020 and FHA-Food & Beverage from 31 March to 3 April 2020. ProWine Asia (Singapore) 2020 will also be co-located with FHA-Food & Beverage.

ตลาดผลิตภัณฑ์อาหารพร้อมรับประทานและผลิตภัณฑ์อาหารพร้อมรับประทานแช่เยือกแข็งจะมีอัตราการเติบโตเฉลี่ยสะสมอยู่ที่ร้อยละ 7.2 ต่อปี และร้อยละ 4.3 ต่อปี จนถึงปี 2569 ตามลำดับ โดยผลิตภัณฑ์เนื้อไก่จะเป็นสินค้าที่ขายดีที่สุดในบรรดาผลิตภัณฑ์อาหารพร้อมรับประทานแช่เยือกแข็งทั้งหมด

 

ข้อมูลการศึกษาจาก Future Market Insights ณ เมือง Valley Cottage รัฐนิวยอร์ก ระบุว่าตลาดของผลิตภัณฑ์อาหารพร้อมรับประทานทั่วโลกจะมีอัตราการเติบโตเฉลี่ยสะสมอยู่ที่ร้อยละ 7.2 ต่อปีตลอดช่วงระยะเวลาในการศึกษา (ปี 2559-2569)

 

การค้นพบที่สำคัญจากรายงานดังกล่าว คือ ตลาดอาหารพร้อมรับประทานแช่เยือกแข็งทั่วโลกจะขยายตัวเพิ่มขึ้น โดยมีอัตราการเติบโตเฉลี่ยสะสมที่ประมาณร้อยละ 4.3 ต่อปี และนำมาซึ่งรายได้กว่า 47,000 ล้านเหรียญสหรัฐเลยทีเดียว โดยในรายงานได้วิเคราะห์ปัจจัยหลายประการที่มีผลต่อการเติบโตของตลาดอาหารพร้อมรับประทานแช่เยือกแข็งทั่วโลก ซึ่งรวมถึงคุณภาพและความปลอดภัย

แม้ว่าบรรจุภัณฑ์จะทำหน้าที่เป็นแค่ส่วนประกอบพื้นฐานของสินค้า แต่สามารถช่วยสร้างความโดดเด่นและเพิ่มโอกาสในการขายสินค้า นอกจากนั้น บรรจุภัณฑ์ยังสามารถสื่อถึงตำแหน่งทางการตลาด และเป็นเครื่องมือสื่อสารที่สำคัญที่สุดที่ใช้สื่อสารกับผู้ซื้อ ณ จุดขายสินค้าอีกด้วย

Although packaging serves as only a basic element, may and if possible should improve the product image            and increase selling opportunities. Besides this, it communicates product image positioning and it is an influential communicator at the point of sale.

 

Currently, packaging is an essential element in modern trade in goods, which guarantees preserving the quality of food products. It also plays a key role by protecting packed products against external conditions affecting the quality and health safety of food products, making transportation, storage, and dispensing of products easier. ความเจ็บป่วยอันเกิดจากอาหารถือเป็นปัญหาด้านสุขภาพที่พบบ่อยและสิ้นเปลืองในด้านงบประมาณ องค์การอนามัยโลก (World Health Organisation – WHO) ประเมินว่า ในแต่ละปี มีผู้ป่วยจากโรคอาหารเป็นพิษอย่างน้อย 1 ใน 10 ราย ด้านศูนย์ควบคุมและป้องกันโรคระบาด (Centres for Disease Control and Prevention – CDCP) ประเมินว่าในอเมริกา มีผู้ป่วยจากอาหารเป็นพิษอย่างน้อย 48 ล้านคน ในจำนวนนี้ 128,000 คนต้องเข้ารับการรักษาในโรงพยาบาล และราว 3,000 รายเสียชีวิต

Foodborne illness is a common and costly public health problem. The World Health Organization estimates that 1 in 10 people fall ill due to foodborne diseases each year. The sad fact underlying these statistics is that most foodborne illnesses are preventable. If a single consumer becomes ill and reports it, the offending product can be recalled – that is how it works, at least in theory. With today’s systems, it can take days to identify a contaminated product, then to identify its origin shipment and finally to identify its source vendor. In that time, many more consumers become sick. It is not the lack of information; it is the lack of access.

ข้อเสนอแนะ

1. ส่งเสริมการลงทุนใน EEC โดยเฉพาะในสาขาที่จะสามารถเชื่อมโยงกับห่วงโซ่การผลิตของจีนได้
2. ควรมีมาตรการกำกับดูแลล้งจีนและไทยเพื่อให้เกิดการแข่งขันที่เป็นธรรม และดูแลไม่ให้ผู้ผลิตถูกเอาเปรียบ
3. กระทรวงพาณิชย์และกระทรวงเกษตรและสหกรณ์ควรร่วมมือกันในการวางแผนการผลิตและการตลาดในการรุกตลาดจีนด้วยผลไม้สินค้าเกษตรชนิดใหม่ๆ สู่ตลาดเมืองรองของจีนมากยิ่งขึ้นโดยผ่านการค้า E-commerce
4. ผู้ประกอบการไทยควรศึกษาพฤติกรรมความชื่นชอบและรสนิยมของคนจีน เพื่อผลิตสินค้าให้ตรงตามความต้องการ

5. ผู้ประกอบการ รวมถึงคนไทยควรเรียนรู้ภาษาจีนและภาษาอังกฤษ เพื่อใช้ในสื่อการกับนักท่องเที่ยวที่เดินทางมาเที่ยวประเทศไทย

6. ผู้ประกอบการโรงแรมในชุมชนและเมือง ควรเตรียมความพร้อมด้านที่พักและสินค้าของท้องถิ่นนั้นเพื่อรับรองนักท่องเที่ยวที่จะเดินทางเข้ามาไทย
7. เตรียมแรงงานไทยเพื่อรองรับการจัดตั้งศูนย์ Smart Digital Hub ที่มีทักษะความสามารถด้านดิจิทัล

 

Deputy Prime Minister Dr.Somkid Jatusripitak; China’s Ambassador to Thailand, Ambassador Lyu Jian; Mr.Jack Ma, the Executive Chairman of the Alibaba Group; along with Thai government’s economic team, recently witnessed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding or MOU between agencies of the Thai Government and affiliated companies of the Alibaba Group. This is envisioned as an effort to boost up investment in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) and to drive the development of Thailand’s digital economy under the Thailand 4.0 policy. Multi-tiered in nature, this partnership aims to bring all Thai SMEs into e-commerce market, to develop Thai digital talents, to upgrade Thai logistics with the help of Alibaba’s sophisticated logistics technology, and to promote Thai tourism industry through digital channels.

 

Presently, China’s population exceeds 1.3 billion and is becoming the world’s biggest consumer market, with the buying power of 300 million potential middleclass consumers. With this MOU endorsement and partnership with Alibaba, Thailand has been presented with a great opportunity in gaining access to a tremendous market and massive buying power of the Chinese through Tmall.com, which is China’s biggest B2C (Business to Consumer) online website that only accepts trustworthy products and credible traders. With this agreement, benefits and advantages on Thailand’s part should far outshine the loss.

 

 

Our suggestion:

As measures to keep up our competitive edge, we should:

 

1. Encourage investment in EEC, especially in fields related to China’s chain of production.
2. Set up measures to regulate and control Thai and Chinese middlemen for a fair competition and to make certain that local producers are not taken advantage of.
3. Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives should cooperate in planning production and marketing strategies to penetrate China’s secondary-town markets with fruits and innovative agricultural products through E-commerce channel.
4. Thai entrepreneurs should conduct a marketing research on Chinese consumers’ behaviors, their preferences and tastes, in order to be able to answer precisely to their needs and demands.
5. Thai operators and all Thai people should make acquainted with Chinese and English language to be able to communicate with tourists.
6. Local hospitality operators should prepare themselves to impress the in-bound tourists with impeccable services both in terms of accommodation and products.
7. Thai workforce needs to be educated and prepared with relevant digital know-how’s for the successful setting of the Smart digital Hub.
